The Trinidad Esmeralda is a Dinoras vitola, which is a brand new format for the Habanos profile, measuring 145mm in length with a 54 ring gauge.

They were released in 2019, presented in the traditional boxed format from Trinidad, two rows of six cigars encased in semi boite nature boxes of 12. They are hand rolled, filled with the finest long filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo Region of Cuba, and expertly finished with the signature pigtail cap.

The Esmeralda begins slowly with soft aromas of bread, citrus and a bit of sweetness from the foot. The cold draw was easy and had forward flavours of soft bread flavour with a dash of black pepper. Once lit there was a distinct pepper note with a touch of orange while the thick smoke offered a creamy flavour.

In the second third new flavours of cedar and hazelnut develop, with a white pepper note on the retro hale. The strength and body is light medium level, picking up steadily as the cigar progresses, finally reaching a medium plus level in the final section.
