The Montecristo Petit Edmundo is named after its vitola, measuring at 110mm with a 52 ring gauge. It was released in 2006, a shorter version of the extremely popular Montecristo Edmundo. Do not be fooled by its size, the Petit is actually stronger and potentially fuller flavour than its predecessor.

The Petit Edmundo gave us a delicious aroma of rich chocolate and spicy pepper as we unwrapped this cigar, the cold draw offered a toasted tobacco flavour. Once lit, the burn was sharp and a thick creamy smoke came billowing out. 

This little powerhouse is full of rich complex flavours like chocolate, creamy coffee and caramel creating a bittersweet combo of full flavours. Around the end of the first third floral flavours tangled with a delicious nuttyness that carried through to the finish, which landed just under the one hour mark. 

These cigars would respond well to a few years in the humidor, 3-5 would really allow these flavours to come together. Try pairing with a simple rum & coke to round out the rustic bouquet.
